David did most…
not when he was a king,
but when he was a shepherd boy.
He sinned…
when he was a king, not a shepherd boy.
He killed Goliath…
not when he was a king,
but when he was a shepherd boy.
I guess…
it is better to be a shepherd boy sometimes.

Hey Zachey!
It’s been quite some time since i last vist ya blog.
yeah.. it’s always an interesting thing to read ya posts..as most of the time i’ll go…”That’s interesting” or nod my head in agreement to what u write.. i do capture some stuff here n there as well.. yeah! continue to pen down whatever thoughts u may have or what God speaks to u in.. haa.. i believe u will..
oh yeah! Mission team outing this thurs? still on?
Even more, when one reads his psalms one can’t ignore the fact that he always acknowledged that it was God the true King and not him.
Also, I think it was that time as shepherd that most affected him. He probably was a bastard son. His father was obviously ashamed of him because he never summoned him when the prophet Samuel came to his house. And then he suddenly is told that God had chosen him to do great things, even though he’s practically a Joe Nobody.
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
Syllogism is not always true, there are inherent fallacies, especially when combined with induction.
eg:
All monkeys are animals
Some animals are men
Ergo, Some monkeys are men
Hey joy!
Many thanks for the encouraging comment! Will continue to pen down my thoughts… Its comments like these that inspires bloggers to keep posting.
Anw, i doubt this thursday i can make it… suddenly have lotsa things to do. Camp roles as well as preparing for the central service on friday. I guess it will hafta be in June. So Sorry!
I can see your point, bookcrazy. Though, in a sense, what Zachary suggest is not quite off the nail. God gives grace to the humble but resists the arrogants, and being in positions like that of a King can make you prone to being haughty.
