Butterflies of Time
My perspective on photo taking has been completely changed by this camp.
I know all along that my love language was quality time, yet the way to store such moments have always confounded me. Perhaps that is why I seem to always have such an obsession with time travel. It was only in the workshop, where the concept of using photo taking as the nets to capture the fluttering butterflies of time was first introduced to me.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
I must admit that photo taking never had a good impression on me. Most photo taking attempts were at most kindly put up with, hoping to distant myself from this phenomenon that was highly associated with our female counterparts. Yet, entering my adulthood, I find myself being the one solely paying the price for the lack of mementos. Sure, my secondary school and college days were fun, but I have only but a few photos to prove it. Suddenly, the lack of photos become a regret, one that was translated into the lack of memories.
I really appreciate those people who tagged me in the earlier days of Facebook.
Now, I’m learning to take more photos, especially with people whose company I enjoy very much. Although some may be surprised, while others may snigger secretly, I hope all those who valued quality time can learn from my mistakes.
Remember, it is your memories to treasure!

The memories worth keeping are the ones that photo cannot take.
well thats what i think.
That’s a great point to note… At least we tried. =)
Photos can’t exactly capture the thing you want it to capture but at least they evoke memories! They serve as stimulants to remind you of the good old times that you once shared with whosoever, whatsoever! I’m sure these visual aids serve as better tools for reminiscences than.. a chunky description?
Interesting one on photos.. I totally agree they serve as momentos too.. =p
yeah man! photos do much more than expected! ;D
Haha, this is obviously coming from a cameraman…
When you take photos, remember to put captions to describe the time! Or else you’ll be wondering to yourself 20 years later,”When was this…?
What was happening? x.x”
Welcome to the world of photography! Now you understand why girls enjoy camwhoring!
Hahah, I think there’s a difference between self-obsession and wanting to capture the moments! Xanthe probably falls in the first category
photos capture the moments that u wish last forever …. a smile on a child …. or reflects one’s perspective of the world … the begger on the street …. its a representation of who the photographer is actually.
Each photo only captures what’s there in a split second. I think photos magnify and elaborate a lot.. Even the smallest thing (prolly an ant) seems bigger, have life, maybe tell a story. Videos can work wonders too
