Think Out, Write Down, Read Aloud

What’s the difference between a prophet, a dreamer and a visionary?

A dreamer is one that pushes the boundaries of reality through his mind – the greatest battles are fought there.

A visionary is able to paint the dream onto a canvas and cast it onto others – that’s what vision casting is all about. Therefore a visionary has the important role of dispersing the dream; planting seeds in the hearts of men.

Lastly, a prophet is one that foretells the future. Thus, it is possible for you to be a prophet without being a dreamer.

If I was to put this concept into an analogy of authoring a book:

The dreamer will be the one who thinks out the storyline; the visionary will be the one who writes it down; the prophet will be the one who reads it out, aloud.

  1. True True.. A Prophet tend to have more “spiritual” implication though. Haha…

  2. Then can one be a dreamer without being a prophet? Cos he’ll dream about the future, thus taking it to a higher possibility of occurring..

    • Yes Joanne. You can dream without prophesying. It’s called daydreaming… Dreaming about the future doesn’t increase the possibility of occurring. The only things that matters are the things we act on.
