When Richard Branson was at school, his headmaster predicted he would wind up either a millionaire or in jail. Since then, he’s done both. Here he talks to TED’s Chris Anderson about the ups and the downs of his career, from his multibillionaire success to his multiple near-death experiences, from Virgin’s line of spacecraft to the failure of the Virgin condom. He also reveals some of his (very surprising) motivations.
I always wondered what we could do if we had a Christian version of Richard Branson; a chain of companies that functioned with Christian principles. Or a Hope-owned version of McDonald’s. Since there’s is a McDonald’s in every country; think of all the church planters we could send all over the world without having them to worry about finding a job!
I have the convictions, but I do not the resources.

Im actually studying on this kind of thing – if you have the idea but not the resources, think about the idea. Expand on it. Draw up a business plan. Send it around to investors.
By the way, there is a business competition or something coming up soon. Not sure about the open category though.

haha, that’s the trouble, my plan isn’t new. but I’m intending to use my business acumen (or whatever instinct i have) to expand it to rival Mac’s. Lol… So these investor’s don’t have a plan to bet on, only a person. I doubt they are going to do so.

e.g. george quek just recently opened a donut shop with seatings available, like a cafe kind of thing.. yep. its different enough from other donut places eh.
